A young man with a beard and short hair, holding a Sony camera and taking a photo outdoors, with a canal or bridge in the background and trees with green and yellow leaves in an autumn setting.

I came to photography by a roundabout route. Before cameras and flashes, I studied environmental biology—a field of study that teaches you to observe for a long time before acting, to understand an environment before intervening in it, and to accept that the best things happen when you stop forcing them. I draw on this every day. In every wedding, every corporate shoot, and every interior I photograph, there’s that scientific discipline of observation: analyzing the light, reading the space, and waiting for the right moment rather than forcing a mediocre one.

It all started with a book: *Humans* by Matt Haig. It’s a story that made me realize what I truly love about photography: slowing down. In a world that’s constantly on the move, the camera gives me a rare sense of focus—a way to choose what I look at, what I capture, and what I decide to convey. For me, photography is less about images than it is about paying attention.

I’m French-Czech, born in the Czech Republic, and now living in Alsace. This dual cultural background has taught me to look for the angle no one else anticipated, to step into very different worlds without prejudice, and to speak to a CEO just as easily as to a stressed-out couple ten minutes before their wedding ceremony. I’m just as comfortable working with the head of an industrial SME as I am with a groom who’s never liked having his picture taken. Patience, active listening, a sense of humor when the moment calls for it, and seriousness whenever it’s needed.

I founded KM Photographe in 2023 in Strasbourg. Since then, I’ve been working with couples who don’t like to pose, with regional brands looking for authentic content, and with international platforms like Holidu and Airbnb, which entrust me with their properties in Alsace and Germany. I speak French, English, and Czech, and I travel throughout France.
